Times Two Design

Everyone in Dallas is talking about Times Two Design, and after seeing this gorgeous quartz crystal lamp, I can see why.

Dallas girls Lauren Renfrow and Ann Strawn created this lamp to launch Times Two Design, and since then, the line has grown to include new lighting and home accessories.

The lacquered boxes and gold-leafed geodes are hot sellers, too. Wouldn't one of these be fabulous on a cocktail table?

The gold-leafed antler box is new for fall, along with one adorned with gold-leafed barnacles. Did I mention every piece is made right here in Dallas? It makes me love their things even more.

This acrylic tray would make a perfect hostess gift for the holidays.

How is a girl supposed to choose? Times Two Design is sold at Mecox Gardens and Rutherford's in Dallas, but if you'd like to see all of the pretties in person, you're in luck - Ann and Lauren are hosting a VIP Sneak Peak Party on Wednesday, September 26th.

Here's the invitation. I've marked my calendar to get a head start on my holiday shopping.

If you can't make the party, send the girls an e-mail at and they'll help you with a custom order. If you're not in Dallas, the Web site is in the works and will debut in October -

Celebrate Art wrap up

I've finally had a chance to catch my breath after wrapping up Celebrate Art 2012! The show was even better than last year's - not only did we sell a lot more art, but we added new talent whose work flew off the walls. Here's a peek at my living room before our cocktail party Thursday night.

And the dining room, just as guests started to arrive.

We attempted a group shot before the party got started...I wish we could have gotten a picture with all of the artists, but here I am with (left to right) Lindsey Meyer, Meredith Grabham, Liz Wiley, Lizzie Bailey and Becky Nelson.

And grabbing a glass of wine with artist and dear friend Gina Marie Dunn

I am so proud of all of these artists, and all of the others who joined this year - EMYO, Melissa Payne Baker, Nicole Groth, Susan Williams, Erin Chance Fenstermaker, Sarah Seay Browne and Reid Hood. A special thank you to everyone who came to this year's show!
